The Indri lemur (or Indri indri), the largest living lemur, is known for its distinctive black and white coat and upright posture. It is found only in Madagascar's rainforests and is highly endangered. They sing with a shrieking loud call that can be heard over half a mile away, and used to communicate among their social groups.
